Snow

Threats of snow brooded upon in coffeehouses
Word lingers, and sustained Conversations longed for
Lord, have mercy.
Why would you let me drive home in this
Snow
How can this be
Lord, have mercy.
Impersonal beams lashed
Storm invaded
Grant me Thy peace.

  1. Beautifully written: You blend the imagery and heartfelt pleas in such a moving way. I miss you, my friend, and may the Lord grant you peace.

    1. Thanks, Laura. I was having a terrible night last night and had to get it out. I had forgotten how much poetry helps. Things come out in a poem that I don’t know I’m feeling or thinking until I finish it and read it.
